Olevia 242T

42" 720p LCD HDTV (link to product page)

Customer review #1:
The brightness, clarity and contrast are exceptional on this 42" Olevia. At least as good as the Sonys I saw in the store. There's even an adjustment for "lip sync", in case the picture goes out of sync with the sound. Great value too. (link)

Customer review #2:
If you're on a budget, the 242T is for you. If you want the highest quality Olevia, the 542i is for you. There is also a difference in the warranty- when a T series breaks, it usually gets repaired, but when an i series breaks, it gets replaced. (link)

Customer review #3:
This TV sets up as easy as a toaster. When buying my TV, I needed a bargain, and was deciding between a Magnavox, a Vizio, and an Olevia. The Olevia won because of picture quality, since I'm a freelance videographer. Words are easy to read, colors are saturated enough to please the eye. This seems to be the exact same TV as the 542T, except that it is about 20 lbs lighter. (link)

Customer review #4:
The positives:
-XBox 360 looks amazing. Standard def content looks very good. The subwoofer connection is great; even though the internal speakers are marginal it sounds great hooked up to my 10" sub.
The negatives:
-audio sync is horrible, luckily there is a "lip sync" adjustment, which I have to use a lot. PIP is terrible.

All in all, the pluses far outweigh the minuses on this set. (link)
