JVC's Latest: The 120Hz X987 Series

JVC LT-37X987 - 32 LCD HDTV w/ Built in ATSC Tuner - 800:1 Contrast Ratio JVC was one of the first companies to offer HDTVs with a 120Hz frame rate display. This is double the speed of typical HDTVs, and allows for more accurate reproduction of movie film and smoother motion in general. The X987 series has a 120Hz frame rate and 720p resolution.

JVC 47 Inch LCD

The LT-47X788 is JVC's biggest LCD, with full 1080p resolution and a quick 4.5 ms response time. Built-in ATSC and QAM tuners allow you to watch broadcast HDTV right out of the box.

JVC's 42 inch X788 model sports a full 1080p resolution, while the E488 and E478 both have 720p resolution. The difference between the E488 and E478 is just in the cabinet color: black for the E488, silver and black for the E478.

jvc hdtv Just as with JVC's 42 inch HDTVs, the ones with an X in the name are 1080p, the ones with an E in the name are 720p, and the difference between 488 and 478 is in the styling.

JVC 32 Inch LCD

jvc hdtv The 887 and 787 sets differ only in the styling of the cabinet (black vs. silver) and both feature 720p resolution and a high-speed channel changer. The 488 and 478 sets are newer, a little less expensive, and have a 50% higher contrast ratio. The 488 has a black cabinet color, while the 478 is black and silver.
